Honor System Virus

Here’s something in our knowledgebase at work:
If you receive an email message stating that your machine is infected with a virus, e.g.
“you have just received the [FILL IN THE VIRUS NAME HERE] … This virus works on the honor system .
Please delete all the files from your hard drive and manually forward this virus to everyone on your mailing list”
Solution: This is NOT A VIRUS. Delete the email and ignore the message.
Believe it or not, some people really think they have a virus… and don’t get the joke.
