Twitter Killed the Blog Star

@Veronica I think Twitter is ruining my ability to blog. I haven’t had a good blog post idea in over a week :/

@mcnitt twitter killed the blog star.

@daynah In my mind, and in my car, u can’t rewind, u’ve come too far. Twitter came and broke your heart. Put all the blame in microblog!

heh, and this is just one of the reasons why I love Twitter. We complete each other’s sentences and thoughts!

Although I see Veronica’s point. I haven’t written many meaningful blog entries in a while. And when I do blog.. they seem to be under 140 characters.. LOL

Thanks for the tweets Brian & Veronica!

With currently 66 views and no comments, it’s clear ppl have forgotten how blogs even work. LOL. I rest my case. I have an idea. Put the comments box at the top of the page with a header “What are you thinking?”, change Submit Comment to “update”. Could work. ;) @mcnitt

Brings me on the idea, someone could make a Twitter theme/template ;)

But I do agree. It so happens to be that people are starting to react on my Twitter rather than on my blog. And to be honest, I don’t quite like that. I have a blog for a reason. And I would like it if people would leave comments and answers to things I blog about, on that blog, not outside the blog. Maybe that’s just me.

I like blogging. No, I love blogging. I would hate for it to go because of anything, including Twitter. I do however think it can be a valuable addition to a blog.

Rosie, I love blogging too… but there are times when I run out of things to say. There are also times where Twitter gives me ideas too. Thanks to my IT Twitter friends, I’ve been branching out more in this digital world.

Comments on blogs are nice because I can always find them again. Comments on Twitter seem to be lost within 24 hours. I can’t find the past tweets I’m looking for as easily on Twitter.

Exactly, that’s probably why I love my blog so much. If people reply, I can find my comments back quite easy. If I want to look up old replies on Twitter, I have to use Tweet Scan. Oh and of course, the fact that a blog still is a blog. I like designing, my blog is the perfect place for that :-)

I’ve had Twitter for a very long time until I really started using it. Seems I can find some time for it now. And I like the conversations I can have on Twitter sometimes. I find interesting things quite easy through my followers and the people I am following. I actually signed up for many other social networking sites because of people on Twitter :D I love exploring new or beta social networking sites.
