Tech BooksThese are some of my archaic technology books that I bought. Now I just read everything at safari.oreilly.com!

You can also read Safari books on your iphone/ipod touch using the new Safari Bookbag app. I have yet to try it out. I’ll be sure to review it once I do!

Currently, I’m reading The iPhoneâ„¢ Developer’s Cookbook: Building Applications with the iPhone SDK. You can view a list of my tech books at goodreads. I’ll be updating this list soon!

What old tech books do you have lying around?

Just checked my shelf, and yes, I still have Netscape Navigator 2.0 (from Netscape Press), and “DOS for Dummies”, original edition (the first “for Dummies” book, circa 1993-ish).

I had to get of a lot of stuff when I moved recently, but I had the giant MS-DOS encyclopedia, the original Lotus-123 docs and so much more! There was an awesome Tech bookstore real close to me, and it was just too easy to buy, esp the O’Reily books. How much does the Safari cost? Sounds like an awesome deal, esp w iPhone/Touch access!

Mike, the UCR Libraries currently have licenses to the Safari Bookshelf. I would check with UCSD to see if they have the same. If so, you can read them while at the library or thru VPN when you’re at home.

I’m going to test out Safari Bookshelf when I get to work. I think I need the campus IP in order for it to work. But we’ll see!
