The Guild

I just realized I never blogged about my favorite webisode! After seeing Mahalo Daily’s report on Comic-Con, I discovered an actress named Felicia Day who did a webisode series called The Guild.

I watched episode 10 one night and loved it. I ended up staying up the rest of the night to watch all 10 episodes! Totally loved it! The characters reminded me so much of my close friends!

The Guild is a independent sitcom webisode about a group of online gamers. It is written for gamers, about gamers by a gamer. Episodes vary from 3-6 minutes in length, and follow the Guild members’ lives online and offline.

“The Guild” is the winner of the YouTube and Yahoo 2007 Video Awards for Best Web Series, as well as recipient of the SXSW/On Networks 2007 Greenlight Award for Best Series.

Here are all 10 episodes. Let me know if you enjoyed it as much as me!

This is Geoff Smith’s first live appearance on TwitLive.tv! I was lucky enough to see him perform on Leo Laporte’s show at the New Media Expo 2008. If you like “I’m a Twit,” check out his other songs as well. “Digg the Code,” “Ones and O’s,” and “Hello, Hello” are some of my favorites on his latest cd.

I’m going to the New Media Expo next week! Are you?!

This Expo is a hands-on, exciting, “how-to” event with practical conference sessions about how to produce high-quality online audio and video content, grow a loyal audience, and even make a few bucks with your content in creative ways.

I’m super excited! Recently I’ve been learning how to create and edit videos, but there’s still always a lot more to learn!

Rob and Colin have put together this great video about the expo. Take a look!

There’s also a FatBurget TweetUp on Friday night if you’re interested, as well as many other events!

Wall-E

I saw Wall-E today! It was very cute. The love story between the two robots was darling. You can see how very ‘human’ their feelings were. The beginning is cute, but kind of slow. Then the last half of the movie is all about Robot chases. ;) One thing I learned from the movie is… I don’t want to be sitting all day, or bad things may happen. haha You’ll understand when you see the movie!

I love Weezer’s Pork and Beans music video! It’s quite geeky and creative. Check out all those familiar YouTube stars. ;)

I guess I shouldn’t be so surprise by the geekiness since Patrick Wilson of Weezer is such a Twit ;) There’s a little bit of Chocolate Rain and Numa Numa in there. ^_^

Learning Japanese

May 9, 2008 by

I’m doing a few things with this post. First, I’m testing out the Podpress plugin, which I love so far. It allows you to easily embed media files to your WordPress post. No download is required for the end user.

Another thing is, you can also hear what JapanesePod101 has taught me. Click on the little arrow at the bottom of this post. I hope my pronunciation sounds ok. That’s one of my favorite podcasts, and there a few more sister sites if you want to learn other languages. I use to listen to it on my ipod a few times a day. I need to start doing that again.

Also, my husband gave me his gaming headset and told me to download Audacity, so I’m going crazy creating audio files now. :) I’m hoping to edit some video footage this weekend. That’s another software I highly recommend.
