Another campus senate election is voided after a breach in the system disrupted the vote count. The results are now null, and the hacker confessed.
A week before the elections, a group known as “Friends of the American Ninja”, sent a letter to the writers pointing out flaws in the online program used in the voting system. They blamed the breach that happened because of the “shoddy programming of the voting system.” They warned them, but no one listened.
Programs, especially the ones used for webpages (which are available to millions and millions of people) need to be more safe and secure. The next time a hacker tells you there are flaws in your program, check, and then double check, even triple check your work. A nice hacker will give you some kind of warning before he/she does break the system. The do this to prove that there are flaws in the system that the program needs to check for.
