Followup from the ‘Brain’

After I posted the previous, my co-worker called the lady who sent in the trouble ticket. I asked her to call because if I did, I wouldn’t be able to control my laughter. So the conversation went like this. (Please refer to the previous post before reading this.)

Coworker: Hi …. you sent in a trouble ticket a few minutes ago. I think there’s a typo on it or something, because you said you wanted your brain moved to the desktop.

Lady: Yes, that’s right. It’s on the floor.

Coworker: Your brain is on the floor?

Lady: Yes it is.

Coworker: So your brain just fell out of your head and it’s now on the floor? And you want us to put it on the desktop?

Lady: Yes.

Coworker: *laughs*

*Daynah laughs throughout the phone conversation*

Coworker: What do you mean by your brain?

Lady: The computer, it’s on the floor. I want it to be moved onto the desktop.

Coworker: Ohh… this is some sort of shorthand for computer? *laughs*

Lady: yes!

Daynah to Coworker: I don’t think computer people even use the word ‘brain’ to refer to their computers!

Coworker: Alright. Someone will be over to help you soon.

Daynah to Coworker: It’s not me! I’m not a brain surgeon!
