W32.Blaster.Worm

It’s been just a bad day at work. The W32.Blaster.Worm may have hit one of our servers and spread onto some of our staff computers. Just as a precaution, we installed the patch on every machine, just in case. I suggest you do so as well. If you’re using Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, and/or Server 2003, I suggest you do so immediately. Those are the only OS that will be affected. Other things to do to protect yourself — 1) Enable a Firewall, 2) Update Windows (there should be a shortcut on your start menu) 3) Update your antivirus software 4) And if you’re infected, read the instructions on how to remove the worm. Patch up your computer asap!

Patches:

…I’m very exhausted. We have a few hundred machines… and it required a administrator to login. *sigh* So the users couldn’t have updated this themselves.
